Please note:

Last ticket issued 45 minutes before monument closes.
Last guided tour departure: 1h15 before site closes.

Closed on January 1, May 1, November 1 and 11, December 25.

BY CAR

From Montpellier: A 9 towards Perpignan exit n° 40 Salses-le-Château

From Perpignan: N 9 towards Narbonne

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

By train: Salses-le-Château station (Narbonne-Perpignan line), 15 min walk

By bus: 135 (Perpignan-Salses line), 10 min walk

Services and visiting conditions

  • Free unguarded parking spaces all year round near the fortress and along the railroad line
  • Municipal parking lot open all year, with charge and supervision from mid-June to mid-September
  • For the disabled, parking spaces are available at the entrance to the monument.
  • Campervans are advised to park in the Arnaud de Villeneuve cellar parking lot.
  • Bike parking available
  • Bookshop
  • Drinks and sweets vending machine
  • Picnics are prohibited, but possible outside the monument.
  • Animals are prohibited, except assistance dogs.
